We have been lucky enough to avoid rain in Chile so far. But the forecast called for the first full day of rain coming on the 16th. So we decided to bunker down for the day and not ride.
How lucky. We chose a riverside cabaña in the area we would be at: the town of Teodoro Schmidt. (Germans had come to settle in this area, and thus the name). There were plenty of camping nearby, but we opted for indoor shelter with a fireplace. 😀

The cabaña was located by the River Tolten, among some nice lush green scenery. What a nice place to be out of the rain.

Before the rain hit, we went for a walk around the “neighborhood”.

We were feeling refreshed as we began to sit out the rain.

On the 17th, it’s sunny. And we’re off again.

I love the photos and commentary
Cliff hanger?! Have all of you been well? I had to binge watch to catch up. Love the maps!
