The preparations are done. All that is left is to get on the plane.
I (Thuan) got up early on November 14, 2023, and left for the Burbank Airport to catch a flight to Dallas, where I transferred to another flight taking me to Santiago, Chile. I flew alone. But I knew that, within a few hours, my friends Lori and Jeff would get on another flight at Los Angeles International Airport headed for Santiago as well. And across the ocean in the U.K., another friend Sarah was embarking on a flight bound for Santiago.

Our friends David and Elaine had arrived in Santiago two days earlier on the 13th, and was already enjoying the sights and sounds of Santiago already. All of us were to meet together on the 15th. (The seventh member, Ken, would not meet us until one month later further into the journey.)
Upon arrival at Santiago, each of us opened our bike boxes at the airport and assembled our two-wheeled vehicles right there in a corner of the arrival lounge.

Once done, we pushed on the pedals and marked our first few miles away from the airport.

The adventure is about to begin.
Great job thuan with our location! So far, so good!
